This is an example of Music and Literature. It is based off of an illustrated children's book about the coming of the Monsoon season. Every page contained a soundscape that I had the students create with unpitched instruments. I also wrote a short song to the poem "The Rain" by Robert Lewis Stevenson that they learned on recorder and played with accompaniment on Orff instruments. They then performed the piece "Reader's Theater" style with the soundscapes followed by the related song.
